We are planning on the virtual sale option using Zoom where you can type your bids in as we progress through the sale. Online Sale Interest Form Here! – The cutoff to sign up is 8:00 am the morning of the sale on December 1st. Signups will not be accepted after that.

We would not recommend using a phone or tablet for the online option if you are planning on bidding during the sale. Last year, most bidding issues were related to issues on tablets and phones and being able to access chat to type.

PARTICIPATION: Four options:

1. Come look through the cattle and make your selections. Then join us at the fairgrounds at 1:00 MST.
   You can offer your bid as we proceed through the sale order.
2. Notify us of which lots you are interested in, and we will call you when that lot is being sold. You can bid live via telephone.
3. Leave your order with Ann or I and we will have someone bid in your absence.
4. Online participation. Please reference the top of this page to contact us about bidding online via Zoom.

All bulls will be base priced at $3500. Heifers will be based at $1800.

Whether you attend in person, are on the phone, online, or leave your bid; this sale is conducted in a
straightforward, transparent manner. Bids are never misused in any way and your trust is of utmost
importance to us.

SEMEN INTEREST: John & Ann Dockweiler Angus will retain a semen interest in every bull selling.

DELIVERY: Bulls: The first 150 miles is free, remainder at cost. Heifers: At cost.

HEALTH: All bulls will have passed a semen test. The non-virgin bulls will be tested free of
trichomoniasis. Heifers had Vision 7 and Vista Once PMH at branding and preconditioning. They will
be Bangs vaccinated prior to the sale.

GUARANTEE: The cattle sell as they are. This is what I expect and prefer when I buy livestock, and this
is what I’m offering to you. Evaluate the risk and buy them for what they are worth. With that said, if
there is something inherently wrong with one of them, let me know and we will attempt to make it right
on a case-by-case basis.

FOOD: Ann will have coffee and rolls at the pens in the morning and will serve lunch at the fairgrounds.

LIABILITY: Anyone attending the sale does so at their own responsibility and risk, without liability on the
part of the owners.

Example: Purchase bull for $4000. Bull becomes unsatisfactory at some point. Return bull and receive credit for $3000 to be used towards a replacement. You must return the bull; mortality is not covered.

Our opening round of private treaty sales will run as follows: 

*In person bidding will be done at the Dawes County Fairgrounds.

*At 12 noon MST we will begin selling bulls.

*All bulls will be start priced at $2500 for the opening round of private treaty sales only.

*If one person has expressed an interest in a bull prior to the bull being sold that person will buy the bull at the base price.

*If two or more people have expressed prior interest we will call them and auction the bull between the interested parties.

*If you would like to be present for the auction, we will gather at the Dawes County Fairgrounds in Chadron, NE.
